I will be the first to admit, I don't usually set New Year's resolutions. I think it's dorky to wait until the New Year to change your life. But, this year, I decided that there is something that I would like to formally change about myself. I know what your thinking. Every woman wants to change something about themselves. But this is serious!!
I decided that I would set a goal to read one book per month. I have felt for some time that I need to make reading more of a priority in my life.
The first book I chose was one Matt gave me for Christmas. It's called, "His Needs, Her Needs; Building an Affair-Proof Marriage" by Willard F. Harley, Jr. I would really recommend this book to anyone. The topics he chooses to address are the ones he finds most common in helping people to make their marriage stronger. I know for myself, the topics he covers for the woman are almost dead on. Matt and I read it (separately) and we both have found it very useful in helping each other to feel fulfilled in our marriage.
So, that's it. I will read one book per month and hopefully I will learn a thing or two along the way. I thought it might be fun to not only tell you what I am reading but also to get ideas on books for the rest of the year. So what are some of your favorites?

hey, i'd love to borrow your book if you'll let me. sounds like a good one. so what's your book type? long? short? heavy? light? comedy? romance? sci fi? classics? modern? i can probably make a few suggestions. :)
I can give you many suggestions as well as actual books to borrow. I love reading and am usually in the middle of several books at the same time. I'll talk to you about it. I think you've set a wonderful goal
That's a great goal. I also wish for more time to read good books. My problem is that, once I do start a good book, I don't want to put it down until I'm done with it. That will usually result in a messy house, hungry kids, and me being dog tired in the morning from staying up until the wee hours after saying "just one more chapter." That said, I have read many good books that I would be happy to suggest sometime when we talk.
LOL, I'll borrow your books after you read them and recommend them! Have you gone to goodreads.com? You can team up with your friends and get suggestions and recommendations from each other. You have set a good goal. :)
