randomness.

In an effort to not miss important events that have happened over the past 4 months, I figured I would post a bunch of randomness.

Knitting randomness... My good friend and neighbor knit this hat for Joshua after finding out that he had been sick. Gotta love you Dodie!! (too bad we didn't realize that the fuzzy was a smudge on the lens.)

Octopi randomness! I absolutely loved Jacob's Valentine box this year. I covered it with tinfoil (as per request) and he did his own artwork. Do you notice what the picture is? Anyone?..... Anyone?... Fine. I'll tell you. It's a boy octopus thinking about a girl octopus! This is one of the reasons I love being a mom. You get to see awesome things like this.

Chicken randomness?!! At the end of April, we decided to take the plunge and get chickens. We had been talking about it for some time but decided to just go ahead and do it.

We originally got 5. One of them died. Her name was brownie. Jacob was very sad about it and wanted to bury her. Matt dug a hole while Jacob very tenderly held the bird. When it was time to put her in, he bent down, gently put her in and arranged her little body so she looked "comfortable". It was very sad. I cried. Later, he came and got me to show me that he had made a headstone and put some flowers on her grave.

Here is some Easter randomness. We had our annual Easter egg hunt with Zelma and the kids. It was lots of fun.

Pinewood derby randomess. Jacob was VERY proud of himself. He won 1st!! Way to go bud. I was super proud too!

Randomness Joshua pics. He.is.adorable.

I love this picture of randomness. I LOVE Matt's grandparents. They are amazing. I was so happy they were able to make it to our home to see Joshua. These are the grandparents that share their anniversary date with Joshua's birthday. And Max (Matt's grandpa) is who Joshua is named after. Joshua Max.
