Wheeeeeee!!!

So the second day of camping, we drove down to Capitol Reef (spelling okay?). After our camp was set up, we set out for an adventure. About ten minutes away from camp, there was a beautiful waterfall. In fact, here it is...

As soon as we got down to the bottom, clothes and towels were flying and before anyone knew it, all the kids were wading around in the water. For some reason it was funny to me. There were so many kids!! Before we got there, I''m sure it was tranquil. After we got there, chaos.

This picture, also a funny one. Shelby obviously doesn't feel too comfortable in the water yet.

As Matt got brave enough to venture out into the deeper water, the look on his face screamed, "I was in the pool!!!!" (Click on the picture for the full effect)

After the awesomeness of being in the deep water wore off, the men decided to show their manhood by jumping off the rock into the water. This picture is of Adam (Matt's younger brother). He decided to have a seat on the waterfall.

Here is Matt joining in on the action.

Isn't this picture the cutest?! Jeanice's little boy Isaac. He's the same age as Ashley. He was my buddy for the latter half of the camping trip. I think what got him hooked was when I told him that goblin's eat little boy's fingers because they tasted like lollipops.

Katie being, well..... Katie.

Capitol Reef was SO beautiful. The mountains there are amazing. The pictures do no justice. It just amazes me that you can drive to someplace in a matter of hours and the landscape looks like nothing you have ever seen before. On this trip, I definitely gained a greater appreciation for the creation of the earth.

At the campground we stayed at, the trees grew berries which the deer would eat. They weren't really even afraid of people. Several times throughout the day, they would just mosey down the road looking for food. In this picture, the kids are probably about 7-8 feet away from the deer. They thought it was the coolest!

Was the water THAT cold? Matt looked like he was in pain! Everyone else looked like they really enjoyed the waterhole. :)It looks fun! Why didn't you jump?

That is a very fun place. I'm glad you got to experience it. By the way, that's the waterfall I jumped. You can't really tell in the pictures, but it's a pretty high jump. It is very interesting that the deer just wander through the camp with absolutely no fear.
